Generations of creative and innovative Denison alumni came together (virtually!) in September 2021, for ReMix, the university’s Entrepreneurship Summit. Designed by Denison alumni, ReMix is an entrepreneurship summit to help alumni and students to re-connect, re-imagine, and re-fuel as they discover new ideas, learn from their peers and celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of Denisonians.
Alumni and students had the opportunity to hear from outstanding alumni speakers, including Terry Jones ‘70, founder of Travelocity and co-founder of Kayak, James Clear ‘08, author of New York Times Best-Selling Author of Atomic Habits, Jack Tankersley ’72, founder and managing director of Meritage Funds, Katie McKenna ‘04, author, speaker and coach, and James Anderson ‘85, Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing at WarnerMedia.
Alumni and students participated in keynotes, roundtables, panel discussions, pitching and networking and they mixed and mingled virtually over three days of events. The summit covered almost two-dozen topics such as “Developing Your Customer Persona and Your Brand,” “Mental Health and Well-Being of Entrepreneurs,” “Why Startups Fail,” and “Raising Capital.”
