Faculty-Led Travel
Denison Seminars: These interdisciplinary classes are taught by a pair of professors from different academic departments that explore a topic from multiple viewpoints and approaches.
Study abroad is an educational program where you earn credit while learning in a new country. Denison’s wide-ranging opportunities include experiential programs in the U.S. that don’t require a passport, in addition to study abroad, and that is why we refer to these programs as Off-Campus Study.
When you study abroad, you will learn more about your academic subject, and you’ll gain resilience, the ability to navigate different cities and countries - often in different languages - and many other life skills. You’ll expand your networks, learn cultural intelligence and increase your career opportunities.
Your financial aid funds from institutional, need-based or merit aid can be applied to the Denison billed charges for a semester of off-campus study with an approved program. Work-study benefits cannot be applied to these charges.
Some fees are involved. Learn more about study abroad financial aid and eligibility.
Any student who meets Denison’s academic and disciplinary requirements is eligible to apply for off-campus study. Students from all majors, including STEM and double majors, have successfully studied off-campus with advanced planning and advice from their advisors.
