The Denison Museum’s exhibitions and events are free and open to the general public.
Our activities cater to people of all ages and backgrounds, providing opportunities for community members to come together, share experiences, and participate in lifelong learning. We offer many family-friendly events and work closely with local schools to host K-12 school groups. We actively seek partnerships across Licking County, Columbus, Central Ohio, and beyond.

Hours
Monday-Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. during academic year & by appointment.
The Museum is closed Saturday, Sunday, and for university holidays & academic recess.

Directions
For Students
The museum is located on Level 1 (Lower Level) of the Eisner Center for the Performing Arts, the white/red stone building on the South Quad. Go down the steps from the academic quad and follow the sidewalk past the red sculpture (on your left) and in the main doors by college street. Go down the stairs to the lower level. The museum is inside next to the Hylbert Family Studio Theatre.
General Directions
Denison’s 930-acre hillside campus is in Granville, Ohio, just 27 miles east of Columbus, the state capital. The college is less than 10 miles north of Interstate 70 (Exit 126) on Route 37. This is the best route from the east, west, and south.
If coming from the north, you should exit Interstate 71 at Bellville and take State Route 13 south into Mt. Vernon. From there, Route 661 South will bring you 23 miles to the back entrance of Denison.
Parking
Visitors have multiple parking options, including:
- Larger parking: Corner of Mulberry St. and W. College St.
- Smaller parking lot: At the light of Cherry St. and W. Broadway.
- Granville has public street parking.
ADA Access
If you have ADA needs, please contact the museum at 740-587-6255 before your visit.
ADA access is found using the Cherry Street and West Broadway parking lot. Park your vehicle as close to the white brick building and cement stairs as possible. Follow the brick path toward the white stone building. The Museum is located on the ground level, around the corner from the parking lot.

The Museum welcomes and supports learning and engagement from everyone. You can request objects for your group, be part of an exhibition, or host a program, workshop, or talk as part of an exhibition-related event. We invite scholars, artists, and community voices to use our collection for research and creative purposes.
