The Department of Music is pleased to present the Jim Snidero Trio, featuring Jim Snidero on alto saxophone, Peter Washington on bass, and Joe Farnsworth on drums.

Grammy award-winning alto saxophonist, composer, and author Snidero encapsulates what is both unique and compelling about jazz. Hailed as an “alto sax virtuoso” (Downbeat) with “mind-boggling” improvisation skills (The Guardian), and “an alto saxophone sound that is one of the richest and purest on the planet” (Stereophile), he has amassed over 16 million streams on Spotify and Apple music presenting acoustic jazz of the highest caliber.

The trio is currently on tour to promote their newly recorded album, “Bird Feathers” (SAVANT), which is dedicated to Charlie Parker and set to be released in February 2025. They recently recorded and released the album “For All We Know” (SAVANT) in February 2024.
