Join us for an artist talk and lunch at the Museum.

Discover the engaging work of Micaela de Vivero at the Denison Museum through an interview with Joy Sperling, Professor Emerita, Art History and Visual Culture in the gallery.

Vivero’s “Mining the Qhapaq Ñan” uses hand-made paper, fibers, gold, and silver leaf to reflect South America’s historical narratives. Through illustrations, ancient artifacts, and personal experiences, Vivero offers an alternative perspective, fostering decolonization gestures.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 with the artist talk in the gallery at noon.
