Questions:

Dan Wilson, a Grammy-nominated jazz guitarist, takes the stage with his trio. Joining Wilson on stage are Cliff Barnes on piano and Dave Throckmorton on drums. Traces of Wilson’s major guitar influences include Wes Montgomery and George Benson and can be discerned through his playing, but his musical identity has been shaped by everything from gospel and blues to traditional jazz, hip-hop and horn players like Sonny Rollins and Joe Henderson. Wilson is a Mack Avenue recording artist and 2022 North American winner of the Letter One Rising Stars Jazz Award. His latest album, Vessels of Wood and Earth, was released on Christian McBride’s Brother Mister Productions.

Festival director, Brett Burleson and his trio will open the concert. Burleson, a long-time Columbus musician, teaches guitar at Denison. Joining him on stage are fellow Denison faculty Seth Rogers on drums and Dean Hulett on bass.
