Denison’s Studio Art program welcomes James Barsness. Barsness fuses medieval European religious paintings and 1960s pop art to create haunting and bizarre scenes to mock and celebrate human behavior. He is represented by the George Adams Gallery. Barsness gave a public presentation on Thursday, Nov. 10. He also gave individual critiques to any students that signed up, as well as to the senior studio practicum students. He worked with students in the Painting I and Painting II classes.
