Ali Rose is an American International student working across media to create installation based work surrounding ideas of home and identity. Through explorations of geography and mapmaking, Ali’s work is heavily based in her background in experimenting with painting, drawing, and pushing those mediums to their limits. The memories from all of her different homes are the foundation for the marks and patterns found in her drawings. Colors, lines, and marks function here just as do symbols on a map, highlighting elements of Ali’s personal landscapes that she uses to understand and navigate the world we all live in.
