Many nationally competitive fellowships support semester- or year-long study abroad or contribute to undergraduate tuition fees. There are also a number of prestigious fellowships for graduate school that students must apply for during their junior year. The Lisska Center works closely with the Center for Global Programs to help students identify and apply for these opportunities and much more.

In recent years, Denison students have won or been finalists for many undergraduate awards, including:

Boren Scholarship

The Boren Scholarship funds a semester or year of intensive study of a critical language, including Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Urdu, and much more.

Gilman Scholarship

The Gilman Scholarship provides funding for study abroad programs for Pell-grant eligible students.

Truman Scholarship

The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation supports the graduate education and professional development of outstanding young people committed to public service leadership.

Udall Scholarship

The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to college sophomores and juniors for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to Native American nations or to the environment.

Goldwater Scholarship

The Goldwater Scholarship Program seeks to identify and support college sophomores and juniors who show exceptional promise of becoming our nation’s next generation of research leaders in the natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics.

Beinecke Scholarship

The Beinecke Scholarship is awarded to college juniors who plan to pursue research-based graduate programs in the arts, humanities and social sciences.
