Student Organizations
The Spiritual Life Center supports multiple student-led groups. Denison has active programs for Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and Buddhist students. Students who are more broadly spiritual without a specific tradition gather in other affinity groups such as Earth Spirituality or Twice Blessed (LGBTQ). Two musical groups on campus, Gospel Choir and Tehilla, provide additional opportunities.
Several local churches provide Sunday service and the Spiritual Life Center works with students to arrange transportation to worship centers outside of Granville for special opportunities.
The Spiritual Life Center also holds meditation and mindfulness events, and spiritual healing, and celebrates a wide variety of holidays and observances. The staff is always willing to nurture a new group, offer spiritual direction, or engage in dialogue.

Hillel
Program Advisor: Angelo Dunlap
Hillel serves the Jewish community on campus. Every Friday night, Hillel hosts a home-cooked Shabbat dinner at The Open House, beginning with candle-lighting and Kiddush. Hillel also runs programming for a number of Jewish holidays throughout the year, including High Holy Day services, Latke Fest, a Purim celebration, and a Passover Seder. Denison Hillel strives to be a very warm and inclusive group; we welcome Jewish students from all religious backgrounds, as well as non-Jewish students who may simply be interested in learning about Jewish culture.
