Visiting Assistant Professor Rebecca Turk
The Ohio Art Education Association recognizes Dr. RebeccaTurk as the 2021 recipient of the Higher Education Division Award.
“She has demonstrated a long-term commitment to supporting the visual arts and has impacted art education in Ohio in a positive way. Rebecca was nominated for this distinction from the membership of almost 2000 art educators statewide.”

Visiting Assistant Professor Rebecca Turk shows consistent dedication to students, while promoting art and art education at the university level and in the greater community. This award honors her scholarship, professionalism, and innovation displayed daily in her classroom and beyond. She continually meets the needs and interests of her students, while challenging them to investigate further…to stretch and explore while developing their visual skills.
Turk will receive her award at dinner during the annual OAEA professional development conference entitled, “Queen City Collaboration,” taking place in the greater Cincinnati area at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, Kentucky On Friday, November 5, 2021 at 6:00pm.
