Meghan Mason
Meghan advises students on selection of off-campus study programs, prepares students for program applications, facilitates pre-departure planning, advises on scholarships, and coordinates assessment. She focuses on building inclusion into the off-campus study process at all phases, particularly for students who have been traditionally underserved in study abroad.
In 2023, the U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program selected Meghan to serve as a Gilman Advisor Ambassador. Over the year, she will serve as a voice for higher education, advising diverse U.S. colleges and universities about the Benjamin A. Gilman Program International Scholarship (Gilman) Program. She will share her expertise to promote the Gilman Program and guiding students in the application process.
Meghan has traveled with education abroad programs to Hong Kong, Bulgaria, Turkey, Serbia, Italy, and Hungary, and studied abroad for one semester in Luxembourg. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies at Miami University, and her Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University. She has 15 years of experience in supporting students’ international education. She lives in Columbus with her wife and their rescue dog.
