Pi Mu Epsilon

A National Honorary Mathematics Society

Pi Mu Epsilon, a national honorary mathematics society, was founded in 1914 at Syracuse University. Its roots date back to a mathematics club that was founded at Syracuse in 1903. The purpose of Pi Mu Epsilon is the promotion of scholarly activity in mathematics among students in academic institutions.

Denison's chapter was chartered in 1963.

In order to be considered for admission to Denison’s chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, sophomores must have completed 4 courses in mathematics (Calculus I and up) with a cumulative GPA of 3.5. Juniors and seniors must have completed 4 classes (Calculus I and up) with a cumulative GPA of 3.3.
