Hannah Lambaren ’24, a global health and anthropology/sociology double major focused her research on health inequities in the Appalachian region. She wanted to understand how women who grew up in this region experienced healthcare differently when they moved to a college outside the region.“They can have an entirely different perspective on healthcare and health as a whole,” she says.
Lambaren says her global health major opened her eyes to career possibilities in the public health field. “Right now I’m planning on taking a gap year to gain field experience, maybe with a non-profit or a museum, but ultimately I think I want to end up in a Master of Public Health grad school and go down that route for a career,” she says.
