Edelman Senior Account Executive Imani Holmes ʼ19 recently earned the Outstanding Young Professional Award at PRWeek’s Healthcare & Pharma Comms Awards.
The full awards program summary describes her achievements:
“As a senior account executive in Edelman’s health practice, Imani Holmes serves as key counsel on the agency’s multicultural health task force, where she builds case studies and leads and develops points of view to help guide clients and colleagues on culturally responsive communication recommendations. She is known for bringing intellectual rigor and analytical expertise to her passionate commitment to issues of health equity.
“Key achievements by Holmes last year included leading the launch of Edelman’s second annual health equity study at the 2021 Atlantic Festival, serving a critical role in the successful launch of the Cerving Confidence campaign—a partnership between Black Women’s Health Imperative and Hologic’s Project Health Equality—and expanding Edelman’s multicultural and higher education portfolio by securing new business for a leading HBCU client that generated more than $500,000 in net-new growth. That work, and placements in CBS This Morning, BET, Essence, ABC News Live, Forbes, USA Today, Glamour, and People TV help explain Holmes’ two promotions in just two years at Edelman.
“Away from work, Holmes enjoys volunteering, reading ethnographies and memoirs, watching basketball and football and nurturing her green thumb. On top of all that, she’s studying for a master’s degree of public health at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.”
“After just 6 years of our program’s existence, our Global Commerce alumni are making their marks on the world, and we love celebrating with them,” says Professor Karen Spierling, director of the program.
“Her awards citations highlighted her ‘intellectual rigor and analytical expertise,’ two types of skills that are integral to the work and learning of Global Commerce majors,” Spierling adds. “Great work, Imani!”
