On January 10, a group of Global Commerce seniors attended a reception at the House of Lords in the Parliament Building in London, hosted by Lord Mark Malloch-Brown and Lady Patricia (Trish) Cronan Malloch-Brown ‘86. During the reception, the Global Commerce majors had the chance to chat with President Adam Weinberg and about 30 Denison alumni who currently work and live in and around London.
The reception was part of a 9-day visit to London during winter break designed to give the students the opportunity to learn more about international job opportunities related to global commerce. So far the visit has included a conversation with Citi’s CEO for Europe, Middle East & Africa, Jim Cowles ‘77, an afternoon spent at the offices of Standard Industries/BMI, hosted by Amy Todd-Middleton ‘93, and visits to the Berne Union and the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction.
Not surprisingly, our Global Commerce majors have been impressing our hosts and speakers with their thoughtful questions, polished networking skills, and readiness to begin their global commerce-related careers. Denison is preparing them to take on the world!
