Wednesday, September 10 — Drove Northeast to Niagara Falls, brief stop, discussed local geology and Niagara Gorge evolution. Drove to vicinity of Toronto, Ontario.
Thursday, September 11 — Drove north, crossing till plains with drumlins and the Oak Ridge Moraine. Stopped to examine highly deformed metamorphic rocks in the Parry Sound shear zone along the shores of Georgian Bay, a Great Lakes paleo-flow channel at French River, and the Grenville Front Tectonic zone.
Friday, September 12 — On this day we completed a transect through the Sudbury Basin along Rt. 144, examining the unique rocks and structures associated with the meteorite impact event that created the basin.
Saturday, September 13 — We examined Proterozoic rocks of the Huronian Supergroup, and overlying fossiliferous Paleozoic sedimentary rocks of the Michigan Basin. We took a 2.5 hour ferry ride to Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula.
Sunday, September 14 — Drove down the length of the Bruce Peninsula which has been scoured and fluted by massive subglacial flood outbursts; then south across drumlin fields, end moraines and a complex of glacial spillways, then along the shore of Lake Huron to Sarnia, where we crossed back into the US and continued on return to Denison.
