2012-13 is Rhonda White’s seventh year as the part-time building monitor for Denison’s Physical Education Center. White began her employment at Denison working as a lifeguard for camps and events during the summer of 2006. Her responsibilities as a building monitor include facilities supervision, assisting with event set-up and event management, supervision of student employees and the athletics’ laundry operation.
White has extensive experience in the recreation and athletic environment having worked for eight years as the recreation director for the Heath Parks and Recreation Department. As recreation director, she served as the administrator of the Heath Community Recreation and Fitness Center, as the assistant manager of the Heath City Water Park, and as Program Coordinator of Adult and Youth Programs. In addition to her role at Denison, White is also a middle school business teacher at Licking Valley High School.
White graduated from Heath High School and attended Bowling Green State University, majoring in Physical Education. She transferred to Mount Vernon Nazarene University and graduated with a degree in business administration.
An active member of the community, White serves as co-chairperson of Kids First Fest Committee and as a volunteer for the Davis Shai House. White also serves on the Licking County Red Cross Water Safety Committee and the Licking County Board of Health.
In her free time, Rhonda enjoys all sports and recreational activities, crafts, and spending time with friends and family. She currently resides in Heath with her husband, Craig, and their three children, Megan and twins Kaitlyn and Austin.
