As assistant to the president for strategic initiatives at Denison, Raj Bellani is responsible for providing critical support as the college launches the major initiatives outlined in its strategic plan to widen institutional global focus and initiatives, further support faculty and staff as mentors, expand the curriculum, and create the gold standard in career readiness, as well as enhancing efforts related to co-curricular learning, innovation, diversity and wellness.
Bellani brings extensive experience to the newly created position at Denison. Prior to arriving in Granville, he served as the dean of experiential learning and career planning at DePauw University’s Hubbard Center for Student Engagement, where he had administrative oversight of several areas, including career services, service learning courses, national awards and fellowships, in addition to alumni support and residency programs. Previously, Bellani had served at the Rhode Island School of Design as international recruitment director, associate provost and dean of students. He also worked at Colgate University in a number of administrative positions. Bellani is a member of the Geneseo Foundation Board of Trustees.
