Kate Tull
Kate Tull serves as the Associate Director of Orientation and First-Year Experience. Kate supports our incoming students and their families from the moment they choose Denison through the end of their first year on The Hill through communications, publications, orientation, and engagement programming. She also creates the class Enrollment Guide, designs banners and other directional signage, manages social media (follow @denisonfyo), coordinates all logistical details for our off campus orientation experiences, and supervises a staff of Student Office Assistants.
In her time at Denison, Kate has also served as the Academic Administrative Assistant for the Philosophy Department, the Pre-Orientation Coordinator and the First-Year Program Coordinator in the First-Year Office, and has sat on the University Council, the Finance Committee, and the DOWS board. She was awarded the Supportive Operating Staff Employee of the Year Award in 2023.
Kate holds two degrees in theatre arts, one in directing and one in dramaturgy. On occasion she will still direct a play in Columbus. Her older brother Jack Stopa is a Denison alum (BS Chemistry, ‘03), and is still an active member of the Denison Singers. She lives in Minerva Park with her husband David and two sons Tommy (DU class of 2037!) and Harry (DU class of 2042!).
