Biography

Douglas started at Denison University in 2018 with the creation of Residential Communities and Housing. Having worked with a variety of student life offices in the past, such as residence life, student activities, orientation, and others, Residential Communities and Housing was a great fit. Having attended a small liberal arts college himself, Doug closely relates to the experience of Denison students. Doug shares their passion for active involvement, personal development, and challenging the status quo.

In his role as the director of student life operations, Doug focuses on the operations and logistics of the division. That includes managing the budgets, systems, and resources within the Division of Student Life to support the student experience. You may work with Doug in your work with student organizations, student employment, or special projects.

When he is not working on spreadsheets, Doug is making a home-cooked meal, spending time outdoors, or finding a new restaurant in Columbus. When you’re visiting the fourth floor of Slayter, stop by and say hello.
