Beth Lossing holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from The Ohio State University and is pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling through Grace College. Beth joined the Journalism at Denison program in 2018, then the narrative journalism concentration, and has been instrumental to the program’s strategic development and dynamic growth. As assistant director of the journalism program, Beth’s roles include the design and management of the journalism co-curricular program, developing a network of connections and collaborations for student internships and programming, advising students on career development in media, writing, reporting, and storytelling fields in conjunction with the Knowlton Center for Career Exploration, collaborating with the director to plan and execute events in support of the program, managing grants and budgets, and serving on the editorial board of The Reporting Project. She was previously a campaign manager with the Advertising Council and worked stints in corporate advertising, brand management, public relations, fundraising, and product marketing years prior to joining Denison.
