Denison University announces that Jennifer McGann will be the general manager for dining services. McGann will manage dining services vendor Bon Appétit at the college beginning July 1. McGann has been a member of the faculty at the Columbus Culinary Institute and also served for eight years as general manager, executive chef and catering director with Bon Appétit Management Company in Palo Alto, Calif.
McGann is an accomplished culinary instructor and is passionate about utilizing local, sustainable ingredients. Bon Appétit is a pioneer in farm-to-fork sourcing and works directly with many Columbus-area farms. McGann will work to extend those relationships to the college in order to offer the freshest, most flavorful food possible to students.
Seth Patton, vice president of finance and management said, “We are very pleased that Jennifer McGann will serve as general manager of Denison's dining services. Our students will be eager to learn about the organic gardening club she designed and created at Columbus Culinary Institute and I suspect her past roles as general manager and executive chef at Nordstrom Corporate Flagship and as general manager of Google's Fremont Campus, both in Seattle, will create a lot of interest on campus.”
