1. Go for a walk. Even if you graduated just five years ago, there’s plenty of new stuff to see, like the Bryant Arts Center (formerly known as Cleveland Hall), now home to the art department. Or take a self-guided tour of the Campus Common, complete with audio narrated by architect Graham Gund.
2. Sell your kid on Denison. The Admissions Office will be open all weekend to offer plenty of information for college-bound high-schoolers (and their parents). If you want to schedule an interview and tour, you’ll need to call admissions at least two weeks in advance: 740.587.6276.
3. Get to class. Alumni College classes taught by Denison faculty, staff, and alumni will be offered through- out the weekend. “Students” will have the chance to hear lectures on peace movements in the 20th century, sports statistics, and one of the greatest hoaxes of all time.
4. Treat your body like the temple it is. Join in a 5K run/walk through Granville, get a workout in the pool or fitness center, or enjoy a guided bird walk through the Bioreserve. There’s even a class on foods to eat for health and energy.
5. Dine out. Of course you’re coming back to see how campus has (or hasn’t) changed, but the Village has gone through some changes as well. Granville now has a Chinese restaurant, it’s true, and the Granville Inn is offering a new menu. (Try the steak sandwich with sweet potato fries.)
