Global Studies Seminar welcomes Gabi Mkhize, visiting assistant professor, presenting “Rural Women’s Movement: Challenges and Barriers to Women’s Organizing and Empowerment.” Based on the research data of Rural Women’s Movement in South Africa, this presentation discusses internal and structural factors that are barriers to women’s organizing and empowerment and are sources of their oppression.
