The Anderson Lecture Series welcomes biologist Tyrone B. Hayes, University of California-Berkeley. Hayes is perhaps best known for his research demonstrating that the herbicide atrazine is a potent endocrine disruptor that demasculinizes and feminizes frogs. Also a National Geographic Emerging Explorer, Hayes notes - “Surprisingly, frog hormones are very similar, and in some cases identical, to human hormones. So what affects a frog may also affect humans.” Free and open to the public.
