The Goodspeed Lecture welcomes David Haberman presenting “Environmental Possibilities in the Worship of Sacred Mountains and Trees in India.” David L. Haberman is Professor of Religious Studies at Indiana University. He is an expert on the Hindu traditions of north India, and his research focuses on the intersection of religion and ecology. He is the author of People Trees: Worship of Trees in Northern India (2013), River of Love in an Age of Pollution: The Yamuna River of Northern India (2006), and Journey Through the Twelve Forests: An Encounter with Krishna (1994).
