Join us for a discussion about different perspectives on the Israel and Hamas War. Topics discussed include the history of Hamas, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and the religious and geopolitical ramifications of the war.

The panelists will include:

  • Ori Yehudai (Ohio State University, History), a historian of modern Jewish history with special emphasis on the State of Israel, migration and displacement, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
  • Scott Smitson (Denison University, Politics and Public Affairs), a geopolitical strategist, global futures forecaster, and political scientist, is a retired U.S. Army officer.
  • Bruce Hoffman (Georgetown University, Center for Jewish Civilization), a scholar of terrorism and insurgency.

The Zoom webinar will be moderated by Adam Davis, director of the Lisska Center for Intellectual Engagement.
