The Anderson Lecture Series welcomes Shinobu Kitayama, the Robert B. Zajonc Collegiate Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan. Hosted by the psychology department with support from the Anderson Endowment.

Kitayama’s introduction to his lecture, Exploring Beyond East and West: “Culture is to humans what water is to fish. In this lecture, I invite you to a captivating journey into the hidden forces that shape our behavior, emotions, values, and interactions. The lecture will reveal the surprising impact of culture on our psychology, making a case that it is an essential key to unlocking the mysteries of human behavior in our diverse world.”
