Notice: this information is for a past event.

Denison’s Studio Art program welcomes Vail Visiting Artist Donte Moore. Moore is a ceramic artist living in Newark, Delaware and working as a ceramics studio technician at the University of Delaware. His work has been featured in the exhibitions- “Convergence” at the Chambersburg Council for the Arts and “Delivering Goods” at the Pennsylvania State University. Moore received his Bachelor of Arts in Art in December 2016 where he earned the William D. Davis drawing award and was nominated to receive the APSCUF/SU award by the faculty of Art & Design at Shippensburg University, then received his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Delaware honored with the prestigious title of University graduate scholar in the Department of Art & Design (17-18, 18-19).

Moore focuses his work around humans and machines. His work carefully considers the future of technology and the materiality of object relationships. Extending a tradition of ceramic sculpture, his work thoughtfully questions the loss of humanity and meaning value from the objects that exist around us.
