Delita Martin

The Department of Studio Art welcomes Delita Martin presenting an artist talk. Martin received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in drawing from Texas Southern University and Master of Fine Arts in printmaking from Purdue University. Formally a member of the fine arts faculty at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Martin is currently working as a full-time artist in her studio. In 2015 she was featured in the International Review of African American Art as one of sixteen “African American Artists to Watch” who are gaining national and international recognition.

Martin’s work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. Most recently Martin’s work was included in the State of the Arts: Discovering American Art Now, an exhibition that included 101 artists from around the United States. Her work is in numerous portfolios and collections.

The event is open for in-person attendance to Studio Art Students.

Texas based artist Delita Martin presented a Zoom artist talk to the Studio Art Practicum classes on Thursday, Sept. 24th during Studio Art’s Thursday Quaranteam event.
