The Vail Series presents this virtual concert and residency by Aoife O’Donovan as a prelude to her coming to Denison Fall 2021. In addition to the virtual concert on Thursday, October 1, she will provide virtual master classes/class visits.

A Grammy Award-winning artist, O’Donovan is one of the most sought-after singers and songwriters of her generation. March 2020 brought her newest recording, Bull Frogs Croon (and Other Songs), which Paste describes as “captivating” and American Songwriter describes as “a quietly stirring collection…fraught, delicate, and soothing all at once.” O’Donovan previously released two solo albums, “In the Magic Hour” and “Fossils.” She is one third of the band I’m With Her (alongside bandmates Sara Watkins and Sarah Jarosz) and the co-founder and lead vocalist for the band Crooked Still. O’Donovan has worked with some of the preeminent names in music including Alison Krauss (who recorded O’Donovan’s song Lay My Burden Down for her Grammy®-winning album Paper Airplane). She is the featured vocalist on The Goat Rodeo Sessions, the Grammy®-winning group of Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer, and Chris Thile, performed with symphonies including the National Symphony Orchestra.

Tune in on Thursday, October 1 at 8 p.m. to watch the virtual concert live.
