The Homestead 40th Anniversary Festival presents “Welcome to the Homestead: The Ever-evolving Experiment,” an exhibition opening at the Denison Museum. The exhibit features a simulation of an original Homestead cabin and stories, photos and original documents from the Homestead archives. It will be on display from Friday, April 7, to Friday, May 12. The museum is open from noon to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.

The Homestead is a student residential option based on sustainable technologies, simplicity in life choices, consciousness about energy consumption and food production, and community decision making. The Homestead is a unique community that exemplifies Denison’s mission as a liberal arts college.
