Title IX Rulemaking Process

On November 28, 2018, the U. S. Department of Education (“Department”) published in the Federal Register a proposed rule under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the statue that prohibits sex discrimination including sexual harassment and sexual assault. The proposed rule is open for public comment for 60 days. The proposed rule may be found here, at federalregister.gov.
