Six years after being inducted into the Denison family, the Class of 2020 reconvenes for a special 2-year reunion and Commencement ceremonies.
Over three event-packed days, Friday, June 10, through Sunday, June 12, members of the Class of 2020 come together again to celebrate their resilience and accomplishments.
A trip down memory lane begins Friday with a move back into residence halls, and visits to (old and new) favorite Granville hangouts. Saturday is time for brunch, Baccalaureate, and the famous bucket list. That night is the ultimate party, the Senior Soiree, with food trucks, beverages and live music. Graduates and their families toast each other, and a fireworks display embodies the spirit of the moment. Sunday begins with breakfast on the Academic Quad before faculty and graduates don their robes and process toward the Commencement site in front of the Library. Special speakers include a welcome by President and CEO of Legacy Health Kathryn Correia ’79 on behalf of the Denison Board of Trustees, classmate Michaela Morrison, and a keynote by James Anderson ’85, head of corporate communications and marketing at WarnerMedia and interim head of communications at CNN. The ceremonies end with the traditional tossing of the mortarboards.
Members of the Class of 2020 and their families are invited to enjoy a Post Commencement Brunch on the Reese~Shackleford Common. Then it’s time to say farewell to The Hill, until their 5th Reunion in 2025!
