The portraits on display in the Women's & Gender Studies Program office in Knapp Hall were created by Harper Leich, '04, a studio art major with a concentration in painting and printmaking.
In the spring of 2003 the department asked Harper to paint a series of portraits to be displayed in their office. Harper worked on the project throughout her senior year completing more than forty 18” x 18” panels featuring familiar faces of women from Denison; faculty and students alike, along with prominent women from art, music, and literature, as well as a few friends of the artist.
The Women's & Gender Studies Program wishes to thank Harper for lending her talents to this project.
