Studio Art major, Peter Loughlin, has designed a postcard to welcome future students to Denison, and particularly to the Studio Art program. Peter designed the postcard with images of students and professors working and interacting in classes ranging from Introduction to Virtual Reality to Junior Practicum to Introduction to Sculpture to Ceramics to Printmaking, Photography and Painting.
Peter is a current BFA candidate in Studio Art, with a minor in East Asian studies. Peter’s practice is strongly rooted in design and communication of ideas. Peter’s postcard design welcomes students by showing them the diversity of offerings in Studio Art, and also highlights the way in which students are key in crafting their community. Peter’s quote on the back of the postcard states, “Being a part of the Studio Art program has been an incredible growing experience for me both as a student and a designer. Between my passionate professors and inspiring fellow majors, I feel an instant rapport with everyone within the community.” Studio Art chair Sheilah ReStack states, “We faculty are so proud when our students help to create the material culture that will inform and inspire future students.”
