Denison University alum Melissa Morgan ’99 is President of Hussian School of Art. The Hussian School of Art is a private vocational school for graphic design and commercial illustration located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The school offers degrees in three concentrations: Digital Media, Graphic Design, and Visual Communications. It was established in 1946 and offers a four-year, full-time, program.
Melissa's experience and expertise has been an instrumental part of Hussian’s strategic planning process. She developed the curriculum for and spearheaded the transition to an entrepreneurial and career focused Bachelor of Fine Art program for Hussian, and has developed strategic partnerships with other institutions in higher education such as Harrisburg University.
Prior to this, Melissa worked at Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia, PA as a faculty member and in admissions. She is a practicing artist and exhibits her drawings and works on fabric nationally.
Melissa holds an MFA in Printmaking from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and a BA in Studio Art from Denison University. In her spare-time, she volunteers at Philadelphia’s Center for Literacy and Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center. She is also an avid whitewater kayaker and mountain biker.
