My name is Georgia Sullivan and I am a double major in Political Science and Communications from Marblehead, Massachusetts. My favorite subfield I have studied in my three years at Denison has been American Politics. Thanks to everyone in the Political Science department for a great few years!
Rob Saylor ’21
My name is Rob Saylor, I am from North Potomac, Maryland (right outside of Washington, D.C.) and I attended Georgetown Prep for high school. I am a Political Science major and a Psychology minor. I transferred to Denison from Wofford College in South Carolina following my sophomore year, and I have fallen in love with Denison ever since. I am a Political Science fellow, and am a member of the Denison football team. Some of my hobbies include drinking an inordinate amount of coffee, passionately watching the Cleveland Browns (lose), watching any comic book or Star Wars movie, and poetry. After graduation, I am planning on attending law school! Denison has been immensely helpful in preparing me for this next step in my journey, and for that I will be forever grateful.
Sarah MacKenzie ’21
Hello! My name is Sarah MacKenzie and I am a senior Political Science major. I grew up in Denver, Colorado and I have two sisters and two dogs (one puppy on the way!!). My time at Denison has been full of different clubs and activities but my major has remained the core of my experience here. Ever since I took Dr. Pool and Dr. Djupe’s intro classes at the same time my sophomore year, I knew Political Science was the right path for me … it has been quite the journey but I have loved every minute of it!

I’m Abby Henry, and I am from Toledo, Ohio! On campus you can find me attending my virtual classes from a red Adirondack chair on A-Quad, singing with LNO a cappella, giving a socially distant campus tour, or birdwatching in the bio reserve! Some fun facts about me – I recently became an ordained minister, I studied in Portugal for two months and then studied Portuguese language and European politics from my couch for two months, and I am licensed to drive a boat as big as 60 feet long in international waters! Catch me leaving America by sea after graduation.

After graduation, I am not sure what I want to pursue. Possibly law school but I am excited to move somewhere new and experience a different part of the country!

Maddie Korkowski ’21
Hi I’m Maddie, a political science major and history minor. I am from outside of Washington D.C. and therefore always have been around the political scene sparking my interest in politics growing up. Hi everyone! I’m Jacqueline (Jackie), and I am a political science and an anthropology/sociology major from Columbus, OH. I’m part of the executive team for Sisters in Dialogue, which is a group dedicated to community building and mentorship for women of color on campus. I’m not really sure what’s next, but I’m ready to put my skills and knowledge to good use.

Jack Scalia ’21
I could not be happier with my choice of Political Science as a major. While challenging, Political Science has taught me how to challenge convention, thinking critically, and write well. The department and its great professors have been instrumental to my experience here on the Hill —I wouldn’t change anything. When I am not trying to earn the elusive “A” from Dr. Katz, you can find me out on Deeds field, representing the Big Red lacrosse team.
