Bebe Wang who graduated from Denison this past spring with a BS in Physics and a Minor in Mathematics, has been chosen as the NCAA Division III Academic All American of the Year. Bebe is an exemplary student athlete, actively involved in the Physics and Astronomy department and as a leader on Denison’s Champion Swimming & Diving NCAA Team. In addition to this latest award, he was a Senior Fellow in the Physics department, and elected as a member to Sigma Pi Sigma, Sigma Xi, and Phi Beta Kappa. Last year he was the recipient of the prestigious Delta Upsilon Class of 1954 Memorial Award. In particular, Bebe enjoyed his time doing research with Dr. Doty on the subject of Pitching Biomechanics of Youth Baseball Players. “I thought it (physics research) was really empowering, being able to ask your own questions and find your own solutions to them.” Bebe will be pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, at Purdue University this fall.
