The Denison University Wind Ensemble has been selected by blind audition to perform (virtually) at the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) professional development conference in February. The Wind Ensemble submitted this special performance from November entitled “Variations on America.” The OMEA conference is the third largest music conference in the nation.
“As far as I can tell this is the first time in the college’s history this ensemble has been invited for such an honor,” says Director of Bands and Assistant Professor of Music Chris David Westover-Muñoz.
“I’m deeply proud of our students’ work on this project especially in a year that was full of challenges, I’m proud to teach at a college that makes this kind of innovation and collaboration possible in the face of adversity.”
