Mick Earley

Mick has dedicated his career to being a champion for a positive and impactful student experience, both inside and outside of the classroom. Mick believes it is critical to provide intentional opportunities for students to engage with robust learning experiences that serve as a platform for development.

Mick guides his efforts through a person-centered lens, aiming to capitalize on student strengths and talents to provide care that benefits students in pursuit of their goals throughout life.

Mick spent more than a decade at the University of Florida, first working in the Dean of Students Office within the student conduct office, where he was responsible for the resolution of both academic and behavioral integrity incidents for students and student organizations. Mick worked with student conduct for six years prior to transitioning into a newly created role working directly for the Associate Vice President & Dean of Students across their portfolio to help strategically support health and wellbeing initiatives throughout the campus community. Mick’s role later expanded to support and lead major projects and initiatives across the entire Division of Student Life prior to assuming the role of Senior Associate Dean of Student Support at Denison University.

Mick also has experience serving as an advisor to student organizations and supporting students as a success coach.

Mick continues to stay involved with professional development opportunities and is a member of the both the Higher Education Case Managers Association (HECMA) and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), where he serves as a member of the Mid-level Administrators Steering Committee and co-chair of the membership engagement sub-committee.

A native Ohioan, Mick graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in moderate/intensive special education prior to attending the University of Florida, where he became a double Gator, earning a master’s degree in student personnel in higher education and a Doctor of Education in educational leadership.
