Kara H. Lewis is a Managing Director in Bernstein’s Cleveland Office. As the leader of the firm’s Ohio private wealth practice, she oversees the client service, management and strategic growth of Bernstein’s business in the region. Kara previously served as vice president in the Cleveland office with responsibility for building Bernstein’s business in Central Ohio. In this role, she advised sophisticated investors and institutions on investment strategies and, in conjunction with the Wealth Planning and Analysis Group, worked closely with clients and their advisors on a wide range of investment matters, including tax and estate planning, concentrated stock positions and the sale of privately held businesses. Prior to joining Bernstein in 2015, she was president of Winslow Asset Management. She is also an active member of the local community, and serves on the boards of Akron Children’s Hospital and Flying Horse Farms.
Jennifer Thomas is a Business Strategist with expertise in operations and business development, operating her own consulting firm, Jennifer Thomas Consulting, in Cleveland Ohio. Jennifer previously served as a Startup Strategist for Plug and Play Tech Center; Chief Strategy Officer for Digitalc; Program Director for the Knight Foundation; and Founding Director of The Civic Innovation Lab in Cleveland. She is a Board Member of the Economic and Community Development Institute and Chairwoman of the Women’s Business Center of Ohio Advisory Board. In addition to her BA in Economics from Denison, Jennifer has an MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU.
